Brent Armand, Owner
With over 30 years of experience in the space industry, Brent is a seasoned program manager and space systems engineer with a passion for space systems development, satellite design, manufacturing, and testing, and program management.
Brent began his space career as an Air Force officer operating US missile warning satellites. After leaving the Air Force, and a brief stint with Motorola helping deploy the original Iridium 66-satellite constellation, Brent joined Orbital Sciences Corporation as a ground systems and mission operations engineer. Over a 25-year career with Orbital (acquired by Northrop Grumman in 2018) he transitioned from engineering into program management, retiring from Northrop Grumman as a Program Director in 2023. Over his diverse career, Brent successfully captured and managed complex and high-value satellite programs for diverse customers and partners, including DOD, Intelligence Community, NASA, and commercial satellite operators. Brent has experience across a wide array of space missions including low and medium earth orbiting (LEO/MEO) and geosynchronous (GEO) space domains.
Brent started Armand Aerospace in 2024 as a certified Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) providing engineering and program management services to the space industry. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
